SENSORY YOGA

The numbers of children struggling with focus and attention in the classroom is rising. These children are often labelled and receive”sit-down” remediation which is often ineffective.

With more knowledge linking learning to movement, and greater understanding of the effects of sensory integration on function, yoga has emerged as a solution.

The ancient practice of yoga offers movement in a non-competetive environment. When applied with knowledge of sensory integration, it helps improve self awareness and self modulation that in turn leads to academic and social success.
